I love cooked broccoli, but can't stand to eat it raw.0 -
Here's a weird one: I LOVE bacon, could eat it All. Day. Long. Crispy is best, but there is no bacon, even cooked badly, that I won't eat. BUT, I don't like bacon on or in anything. Bacon cheeseburger? Hold the bacon, please. Bacon on a salad? Nah. Bacon on a pizza? Please, no. I guess I'm a bacon purist (with the sole exception of chocolate covered bacon, if done correctly).
As for vegetables, I much prefer them raw rather than cooked, with few exceptions. Funny, my husband is just the opposite, so planning meals can be a little tricky.0 -
Love cooked onions, mushrooms & broccoli - hate them raw
Love bacon - hate it in other foods (it overpowers)
Love nuts - hate them in other foods (I don't know why)0 -
I too love me the raw carrot. Cook it, and it turns into horridness!!
Those mixed peas and carrots in a box= Satan's ulitmate punishiment.
They make me want to puke just thinking about them.
Faux banana flavored anything. WHY o WHY must every smoothie start with: Peel one banana.....0 -
Frozen banana in a smoothie is good, but room temp banana smoothies are gross.
Can't stand peanuts on their own or in anything, but can have peanut butter - and I buy one that's just nuts and salt, so it's not down to added oils and sugars.

I can't stand peas, but I love split-pea soup.
Split peas are different to the peas you get frozen or in a can. Split peas are more like lentils. Might be why you like one but not the other.
Mine- love tomatoes (and this is a recent development- only really started loving them this summer, since I grew my own), but hate tomato sauce, ketchup, tomato soup, etc. I tolerate a well made salsa. See next entry, though.
Love dehydrated onion flakes (especially sauteed with peppers and mushrooms), HATE and will not eat onions any other way. I have an onion ring every year or so, but otherwise-no. damn. onions.
Love canned green beans, hate the frozen ones. I see someone else posted this upthread, so I'm glad I'm not the only one! I usually prefer frozen to canned, but green beans are THE exception.0 -
I love cooked broccoli, but can only stand to eat it raw in broccoli slaw. The texture of the tiny little florets is horrible.0
