Happy New Years everyone!

I've been using MFP for a little over a month now, and I've had a lot of weight flux due to holidays and school. I've been loosing little by little, but I haven't really felt accomplished. I think I need a goal for January, but I'm not even sure where to start or anything.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated!

I usually try to have 1 weight based goal and 1 NSG (non-scale goal). For weight goals I aim for 4lbs per month- 1lb per week. NSGs I usually pick something related to my running- speed or distance. You could pick something food related, but I find that stressful. You could also pick food "challenges" and do one a week- Meet your sodium goal, or fiber, or be under cals everyday for a week. Stuff like that.

How many days do you workout? Maybe try setting a new goal for that. If you do three days a week now, try to aim for four or five. One month, I challenged myself to workout every day. I did the 30 Day Shred that month EVERY DAY and lost my first seven pounds that way. It was a great motivator to keep me going.

or try the weight watchers thing...they have it as ur first goal of losing 5 % of your weight.

heres how u determine ur 5% weight loss goal

    current weight x .05 = (total) - (total) = (5% goal)

    for example here's mine

    cw: 177 x .05 = 8.85
    177 - 8.85 = 168.15
    5% gw: 168.15
