Anterior pelvis

I have been told I have an anterior leaning pelvis, which apparently is from years of inactivity and sitting at a desk. My legs are always stiff, and my husband tells me I walk like Mr Burns from the Simpsons (I didn't kill him, he can run faster than me). I am doing quad and hamstring stretches twice a day, but is there anything else I can do? It impacts so much on my ability to move.

I would sign up with a physical therapist on it. I just got a standing desk for work and it is life changing.

Yes, you can take up things that use the muscles in your pelvis to retrain your proprioceptors like yoga or belly dance.

Based purely on you Mr Burns description, it sounds like posterior pelvic tilt as opposed to anterior (where the back hyperextends).

I've no idea how to get the link as I use YouTube app but have a search on there for Allan Thrall - Your Back is Whack parts 1 & 2. I have the anterior and my mum has the posterior  we've found it quite useful.

Sounds like you've got tight hip flexors. You need to add lumbar support to your chair at work - a small airplane pillow should do the trick, use it in the car too. Work on your posture. Stick your chest out a little bit. Back extension exercises work well and you should do them regularly. Try the upward dog yoga stance or pump stretches: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKkIpwvQ9qg
