Mirrors -- keep getting surprised

It happened again yesterday. I stepped in front of a mirror in a restroom to wash my hands and it looked like I was in a funhouse in front of a "slimming" mirror. I've had this happen a number of times recently. I took a good look at my face and neck and they did not look distorted. So... I'm thinking that I'm just not used to seeing my slimming self yet.

Have lost 52 pounds since deciding to get healthy last year and 44 pounds since (thankfully) finding MFP. So of course I look different. Just not sure these unfamiliar mirrors are telling the truth. Sure hope so!

Anyone else find themselves wondering if the person in the mirror is them?

Well I've lost a good bit of weight going from 308 to currently 213 and a lot of the times I dont really even notice that I've lost weight I guess since I see myself everyday but Friday I was going through my computer and I found a little mini clip of me and my brothers friends acting goofy and I had to do a triple take to make sure that was actually me I was looking at I didnt realize exactly how big I had let myself get but at least now I have it on my desktop for motivation whenever I need it ^_^

great job on your weightless too keep up the good work =D

Yes, that used to happen to be a lot. But I'm used to it now. Then I would look up and think, wow I look so different now! It's an exciting feeling :-)

My husband asked me to help him on the roof yesterday real quick and I told him "You know I'm scared of heights! When I fall, I'll look like a big grub worm rolling off!"

He replied, "Is that what you think you are, a grub worm?? You are fit and strong now, stop thinking of yourself like that."

I've lost 56lbs since January of this year and I still don't feel it in my heart. I see it in the mirror and I take tons of pics! But for some reason, my mind still hasn't caught up. I'm not sure when it will either..

I feel like this every time I do overhead presses at the gym. The dumbbells are by the mirror and I'm surprised by my own reflection ("Who's that?") when I look in it. Also, when I'm running and a thinner shadow than I'm used to shows up, it takes me a second to realize it's me.
