How to determine my goals

So when I set up MFP, I put that I was sedentary...I think...My exercise is spotty depending on the week. My schedule at work is unpredictable and changes by the minute. Some weeks I get 3 hours of exercise, other weeks I get 7 hours. When I first started MFP I wasn't exercising much at all, maybe once a week on a good week. So, I put sedentary. Recently, I've been hungrier than I was in the past (because of the increased exercise, duh!) but I eat back a percentage of my calories from exercise. Should I change my activity level in MFP? I log all of my exercise, so does it matter if I change it?

I'm confused....

If you're already eating back exercise calories, there is no need to change your activity level.

MFP's activity level setting is for your everyday activitity NOT including exercise. I am a lazy slob most of the time and I have my activity set to lightly active. Exercise is on top of that and you should still eat back a portion of that. This is especially important for you to do if you are having a hard time adhereing to your calorie level. If you try it with lightly active for awhile (6 weeks or so) and you aren't losing then slowly drop your calories till you do. These are all estimates; adjust as you go to what works for you.
