help with maintaining

Hi guys I'm so new to maintaining weight before mfp I used to binge eat and starve. So I need your guys help cause the people here are so much more switched on. So abit about me I'm 26 turning 27 in couple of months I'm 175cm tall so what would u guys suggest for maintenance calories? I have my lifestyle set as sedentary as I'm healing with a knee injury and I log any extra exercise Iddo also try eating 30% cals back from logged exercise as I hear mfp over estimates calories burned from exercise. :)
Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanking you in advance for your maintenance wisdom xx

I'd just set MFP to maintenance by going to your goals page. Follow that recommendation for 4-6 weeks. If you've lost weight bump it up by 100 calories. If you've gained weight lower it by 100 calories. Rinse and repeat.

Alternately just start gradually raising your calories by 100 per week until you start gaining. Realize though that when you increase calories it's normal to put on a couple of pounds of water/glycogen weight so ignore that.

You can do all the calculators on the internet but at the end of the day they're all estimates. The best way to find maintenance is to make an educated guess and then adjust based on your results. One thing I can tell you is that maintenance seems to be a range, at least for me. I've maintained on everything from 1900 to 2300 calories.

I always say that maintaining is more work than losing weight  I think what Ilift said was very good advice. Set your goals to maintenance and go from there. There are always areas in our diets that we can tweak to get the desired results. I've been maintaining my loss for 7 plus years and it takes work but is always worth all the effort!
