Same resolution different reason

Hi All,
Once again I find myself making the same New Year's resolution that I have made over the years. What is different about this resolution is that I just (2 weeks ago) found out that I am pre diabetic. I have an 8 year old son and it is very important to me that I am around for him. So I am really hoping to make a few contacts during my journey to help me through this extremely difficult process of losing weight.
If anyone is out there who lives in Pierce County Washington maybe we can form an online group to support each other.
