Questions on Fat

Just wondering if there is a difference between the end result of fat storage regardless of whether it came from an excess amount of protein or carbohydrates. And if so are the fats used differently. Thanks

    Excellent question the answer to which is a resounding "yes" (on both counts).

    The explanation, and reasons why however, cannot be obtained in a twit-like, 140 character reply - that will require an investment of your time and effort (but WELL worth it).

    Here's a start to get you going - the presenter was actually a stand up comic (in a former life) and his talk is often light hearted and very easy to watch but at the same time interspersed with a great deal of actual "fact" based on clinical research.

    In a nutshell, much of the dogma you read on these forums is simply not based in fact - a calorie is NOT a calorie, dietary fat will NOT make you fat, and it is NOT as simple as "eat less calories" (no matter how many times it's repeated by those unwilling to invest the time to educate themselves).
