Could this have made the scale read a bigger number?

I know I've just asked a question like this yesterday, but it hasn't left my mind. My scale has always been close to the real number (I checked it yesterday). So why did it suddenly jump up 5lbs then back down the next? I hopped on it again today, trying to figure it out. After getting on it a bit (it saying 102 a bunch) it finally read out 107 and I realized something: I pressed down on it really hard when it was calculating (like almost jumping). I did that yesterday, too, when it said 107. Could me practically jumping on it have made the number rise? If so, would my real weight have been 102 (standing normally) or 107 (almost jumping)?

Don't jump on your scale. First you may break it, second you need to learn about physics and forces/acceleration.
You haven't really given enough information to accurately answer your question. If your scale is mechanical, the mechanism could be faulty or sticky, and if electronic, the the electronics could be faulty or it just may need a new battery.

You are asking if you jump and press on your scale ( adding more pressure/weight) ...if THATS why the number rose, then yes.
Are you being serious right now?

Every day, we get a new thread where you post ever-decreasing weights while saying you're seeking help for an eating disorder.

If you really have an eating disorder, you certainly are atypical.
