Hi! I am just curious, when does an ACTUAL pound show up. Is it immediately if I eat 3500 calories over mraintenance and one day it is there and then not? Where does the weight go when you lost it?

Bodies are storing energy and burning stored energy throughout the day. The efficiency of the process depends on lots of factors and is not identical or predictable down to the calorie consumed, as you have phrased your question. For example, someone may be more likely to store surplus calories when sleep deprived, but when well rested, the same surplus might be more likely to boost metabolism. Lots of dependencies.
I'm not sure what the byproducts are when lean tissue is consumed for energy. When fat is consumed, however, the fatty acids (long carbon chains) get broken down (oxidized), carried by the blood to muscles/organs that need energy, and the byproduct is CO2 which you exhale.0 -
