I would like to lose some weight for my wedding which is in June 2011. I have 6 months and have set a realistic goal of 20lbs even though I know I can do much better. I'm hoping my fiancee will join me because he needs to get in shape for work. If there is anyone in the same situation please let me know I would love some encouragement.

let me just tell you this. my original plan was to lose weight for my wedding ... it didn't happen.
On my wedding day, I didn't feel beautiful at all. I felt self concious and not how i thought my wedding day would be.
That's what kickstarted my weightloss & I joined MFP as soon as I got back from my HM.
If you have this goal and you have 6 months, DO IT!DO IT! DO IT!

Please don't put it off like i did. You'll only hurt yourself because you wont feel as beautiful as you could. You deserve to feel the most beautiful. If you have this goal, put your best foot forward. I'm not 32lbs lighter and i can only WISH i had done it by my wedding. Utilize MFP as much as you can, count your calories, workout when you can & you'll be able to do it most definitely.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope you do this for your wedding, just simply for you.For you to feel beautiful.

I'm trying to lose 13 pounds for my best friend's wedding. She's getting married June 18th of this year and I'm her Maid of Honor (actually Matron of Honor because I'm already married). I had an original goal of losing 20 pounds for her wedding and I am 7 pounds towards my goal.

We can do it!! It's hard now, but when that day comes and you're walking down the aisle and have this unbelievable feeling of happiness and satisfaction, you'll be SO glad you worked so hard to reach your goal. :)

Happy Wedding!! Being married is a fantastic thing when you both work hard to make each other happy. You won't regret being married! :)
  • Thank you all so much. If anyone is getting married in June I would love to be friends with you.
