I miss my foods from my homeland Australia.. Sausage and Chicko rolls, golden gaytime ice cream, meat pie 'n' chips or Fish 'n' chips while going through a loaf of bread. Barbecue shapes, Lamingtons, Tim Tam's, Vegemite on toast, slurps.

Honestly, I love everything LOL. I love making dishes from around the world too. Especially Japanese since i spent about a month over there for fun.

I also love bulgogi (Korean BBQ), my neighbors used to make it for me on my birthdays when I was 10-12. Got me hooked!

I guess I'd have to say my favorite are

    Chile Rellenos - Mexican
    Bulgogi - Korean
Okonomiyaki and Shabu Shabu - Japanese
Galaktoboureko and Kourabiethes because i love Greek sweets <3
    Chicken Biryani - Mauritian
    Keke 'isite - Tongan

Lots others but those are my main squeezes lately ;)

    2. Thai - how do they use so many noodles and basil and taste nothing like italian? :)
    3. Japanese - 1 word. sushi
    4. Korean - Dol Sat Bi Bim Bap - the world's greatest comfort food
    5. Vietnamese - Pho and bahn mi.

Sushi. Yummmmmm. Specifically spicy tuna sashimi, california rolls, gomae, sunomono.

Indian and Vietnamese too. Pho in the winter when it's dreary outside (although I will never get Russel Peters' voice out of my head when I eat Pho LOL)

I'm vegetarian so there are some cultures that just work better for me (ie Indian food).

    My favourites though are:

Arabic / Middle Eastern - Lebenese food is delicious, all those cold and hot starters and vibrant flavours!
Thai - I love the fresher tasting dishes, again with lots of vibrancy. Som Tam salad has to be one of my favourite foods of all time.

Mexican food for sure. Especially Tex-Mex (there's a difference).

Thai food - I could eat red curry and jasmine rice every day.

Greek - gyros are awesome. Lamb is a very underrated meat in the US.

Southern BBQ - this could probably devolve into its own conversation, but I love some good pulled pork!

I love all kinds of food...Vietnamese, Native American (especially Southwest & North East), German, Indian, Mexican...I tell people all the time I will eat anything that doesn't eat me first...

My comfort food is probably Mexican, though, as it's the food I grew up with. Nothing like my grandmother's menudo or pozole, her handground hot chocolate for cheering up a really bad day!

I'll list my favorite ethic foods in order, not necessarily cuisines. And the order is rough-for so many I can't really decide which I love more! :)

    1) Vietnamese Pho Soup
    2) Argentinean empanadas
    3) Chinese sea bass clay pot
    4) Thai red curry with pineapple
    5) Chinese ginger sesame sea bass
    6) Ecuadorean Humitas
    7) Japanese Tuna Tataki
    8) Indian korma curry
    9) Does butter chicken count as Indian? I thought it was Indian-inspired, but not authentic. Anyway, love it.
    10) Mexican chiles rellenos
    11) El Salvadorean Pupusas
    12) Greek Spanakopita
    13) Japanese Vegetable Tempura

HELL YES to the Lamingtons and the BBQ Shapes. Also, Pizza shapes.

You can keep you Chicko rolls though hahah...I worked in an outback roadhouse for 6 months and holy hell - those things taste like fried fart. Smell nice though.

japanese is my first choice. i am sushi crazy.

then again i like me an american diner too.

    indian, thai, ethiopian, vietnamese, mexican,

the only restaurants i usually dont care much about are italian and french. otherwise there is somethingto love about every style of cooking...
