    I really really want to be a runner, but I haven't yet been willing to give myself that label. I think I've done half doze 5ks and one 15k. I was working toward a half-marathon last spring with I goofed my right knee up. Two months later, I got back up to 4 mile runs and then goofed up my left knee. I'm currently recouping from that. Much of my motivation for weight loss is that I want to be lighter so I can run without so much stress on my knees. So.....if you don't mind me whining a little about not being able to run until my knee heals.....I'd be honored to be a friend.

    I ran a couple of marathons in my 20s but really have been a lazy *kitten* most of the past 15 years. I'm back at it now...only pulling about 10 miles a week, but I'm consistent with it and starting to love it again.
