Hi I was just wondering if you lose any calories doing sit ups, I have read so many times that you do and just as many that you don't? Thanks

I'm going to go with yes you do burn calories while doing sit ups. You burn calories when you move and you have to move in order to do sit ups. So why wouldn't you burn calories while doing them.0

If you do situps quickly enough to get your heart rate up, sure, it's cardio and will burn calories. But it's probably not the most efficient way to burn calories.
If you're trying to get abs/a six pack, you're better off focusing on diet (abs are 80% diet) and doing compound lifts (squat and deadllift in particular).0 -
You also burn calories brushing your teeth and breathing. As previously stated, situps are not the most efficient way to burn calories. That said, you just need to be in a calorie deficit. How you get there is up to you.0

You "lose" calories doing just about everything. Even sleeping. So, yes.0

It's not for the burn, because really the burn isn't that much. But having a strong core is freaking amazing. It makes everything easier. Just do it0

If you're alive, you're burning calories. Even if you're in a coma, you're burning calories.
So yes, sit-ups burn calories.0
