One of the few minor reasons I want to lose weight is because I've never really been complimented about the way I look before, either by girlfriends or by guys who might be attracted to me. I've had people say I had nice boobs or bum but that was just because I had extra fat on me that made them big.

So last week I went out to socialise friends who I haven't seen much over 3 months, and I noticed 3 girlfriends talking about me. They told me they'd been talking about how "hot" and "fit" I was looking and saying they were all jealous of me.

Then later on I get chatted up by a VERY good looking guy who had had a few drinks and was a bit drunk, and told me he wanted to talk to me because I stood out and complimented my figure quite strongly. Normally, I might consider it a little weird and invasive but because he was very very attractive and we were both a bit drunk I really enjoyed it and was really happy with the attention.

The night ended very well for me (and the guy) and I woke up this morning feeling super confident, sexy and happy with myself.

Got me thinking, it would be nice to hear about people's stories of positive compliments and attention since changing their diet and body???

(If it helps, my body change is that I went from 145 lbs to about 122 lbs now and I've dropped a dress size).

I hadn't seen my mom in several months, and she told me I'm looking positively skinny :)

My trainer is a 21 yo bodybuilder. I am an almost 40, obese mom of 3. Just yesterday he told me I looked good in my new workout pants. We also had a conversation about Megan Trainor's "All About that Bass" and how it was about body acceptance, not about hating on skinny girls. How Marilyn Monroe allegedly was a size 12-16, and she was a sex icon. I told him I'm OK not being back in my size 6 before kids ...and he says "and you're a beautiful lady"

Marilyn Monroe was a lifter too!

One of the regular guys who does a lot of lifting at my gym told me I should compete (powerlifting). That made my day.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks back. I was walking around the indoor track at my gym to warm up before I started lifting and a gentleman asked me if I was participating in the Strongman contest they were holding later that day. I told him no and he said that's too bad and he told me if I ever did one, I would do really awesome in it.

A couple of times this work season I have had customers tell me that I looked 'tough' or 'strong'...

and in my head, I'm like,

    'hell, ya!'

My sister-in-law told me I looked strong. "You were thin before but not...strong like now. I hope you know what I mean! You look good!"

I just had a nice one at church today. I was wearing a high-waisted belted skirt, and someone said that I look like I'm getting tinier and tinier. My waist is getting a lot smaller, although I haven't lost that much. Maybe it's time for some new selfies.

I went to a clients recently that I hadn't seen since I started my diet, I walked in to the office and their jaws just dropped! It was amazing, they were asking all these questions about how I did it and if I had the girls lining up for me now and that I must've known there was a handsome guy underneath all that fat, was great!

I've lost 60 lbs since February of this year...so great to be below 200 lbs. A counselor at work refers to me as "the incredible shrinking woman" I get quite a kick out of that.
