Ah, lunchtime... with a side of humor.

Today was one of those days for me. I decided to have my favorite lunch - a chicken panini with some ruffles chips and cashew halves... and it seems I was sharing it... again!
The microwave beeps, I put everything on a plate (weighing each side in grams for logging) and sit down to enjoy my warm lunch on this rainy Tuesday.
*jingle jingle thump* My 9 year old gray fluffball of a cat, Mysti, arrives with a bit less grace than she probably desires on the windowsill at my shoulder. She eyes my lunch meaningfully for a moment then begins to groom.
No, it isn't my panini she was eyeing (that would make too much sense). I give in, moving my panini, most of the chips, and my cashews to a new plate and allowed her to lick the chip crumbs she loves so much. I peacefully return to the rest of my lunch.
*slide thump slide thump* "Hi Mommy!" declares my 3 year old son once he comes down the stairs (why walk down when you can slide down?). He calmly sidles up to my left side and peers at my lunch (cat is still on the windowsill to my right). I greet him, knowing (and dreading) his next phrase...
"I want some!" Yep, right on cue. I dutifully hand him some cashews and he munches happily. I quickly scoop up the rest so I actually will get to eat them.
Ah, lunchtime... complete with my own little 'weight watchers', lol!
