INSANITY vs. TURBO FIRE JAM

I'm having a hard time deciding which program I really want to commit to for my next workout series. I've watched all the commericials about the programs and now Turbo Fire Jam has me fired up because it looks like so much FUN. INSANITY had me fired up because it was craaazy looking. Seems like the music is a big part of TFJ and music during workouts is a BIG motivator for me. Sometimes it's the music that keeps me moving during workouts when my head tries to tell me to stop, but my body keeps pushing hard with the pounding of the beats and riffs. INSANITY seems to have ALL the craziest moves to hit all parts of the body which is what I want to do.
So tell me....if you've done either of these programs or both....which would be best for me to do right now? I'm looking to tone and get the midsection worked out better. *slim*
Thanks for any advice!

First of all, both programs are awesome for cutting down your body fat and losing weight. Both of them incorporate very high intensity cardio training.
I think the music in Insanity is pretty good, but what really motivates me in that program is Shaun talking and pushing you to push harder and dig deeper to find your very best.
Both programs are very intense with athletic type moves that will wear you out. :flowerforyou: I don't think one or the other can be concidered "easier" or "harder" than the other since they are both insane and push you to your physical limits. That being said, I really think it depends on your background as to which you would like better. If you prefer purely athletic moves that are fairly repetitious throughout each DVD, then probably Insanity. Chalene's previous programs were mostly cardio kickboxing mixed with dance type moves, and even though Turbo Fire is more intense than her previous programs, knowing that her background is such you can see that TF might seem like Insanity mixed with Turbo Jam...which is what I have always said it was like.
Or you could just do like me. Buy one...use it for a couple months...buy the other...use it for a couple of months...then towards the end of the year end up doing workouts from both! :bigsmile:0 -
I'm not exactly sure of your exercise history but if you've done p90X and did well on plyo X you can just multiply it times 2 or so and you'll have insanity. Completely crazy cardio. I've done insanity and am pretty much done with turbofire, which is 1.5x times plyo x and has really fun music. I think both workout programs are fantastic, I would suggest starting with turbofire and then doing insanity afterwards, honestly. The best way to tone the midsection is fat loss, and you can achieve that with both.

Thanks guys. After reading and seeing what you guys had to say about the programs. I like the idea of starting with Turbo Fire Jam first and then of course going to INSANITY after I finish Chalean's program. I'm excited! I think Turbo Fire Jam is going to be the program I go with first!0

Do Turbo Fire. You'll love the music and it is high intensity like Insanity. With Insanity you are too busy trying to breathe to notice the music. insanity is harder on the knees. Turbo Fire is my next purchase and I know a few people that are currently doing it and love it. You can also do a hybrid of P90X and Turbo Fire if you don't want to lose your muscle gains.0

Thanks, Edorice! I went on ahead and ordered it last night. I just got a great feeling about the program when I was watching the commerical....I just the feeling that *this is going to take me over the edge and get me where I want to be!* I'm very excited about starting this program...I love to dance to music and incorporate that into a great high intense workout. I'm also pumped about following the nutrition guide..which I know is a BIG part of getting the results I want!
Thanks for the advice!0
