Building muscles under fat - funny tissue?

Noticed this last night... I started lifting heavy and my thighs really like this. My muscles feel much tighter even when sitting. When I stroke over some parts of my thighs with less fat and more muscle I notice what feels like pearls or small pebbles of various sizes underneath my skin. I suppose those are fat cells pushed up by the muscles. It almost freaked me out because it feels so strange. I guess there's nothing I can do about it, right?

Your muscle is likely swollen with water for repair, takes a lot longer to build than you think, unless you are commenting on 8-12 weeks of lifting heavy legs mostly with minor deficit.
Muscles will also have more carbs stored in it for your workout efforts - carbs store with water.
I doubt you are feeling fat cells, which should be squishy. Just normal variances in the whole thickness of the skin.0 -
Whatever there is between muscle and skin, it feels strange. Not sure if it's squishy, but it's certainly there. I've been training for quite a few months now, though with somewhat lighter weights before.0
