My name is Barbara - I signed up for My Fitness Pal back in November but didn't do anything with it until today. I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror at a friend's New Year's brunch yesterday and knew that I was ready to get back on a healthier path.
I'm turning 50 this year and have about 40 pounds to lose. I need to be accountable to someone in order to keep motivated, so I figured this was the place to go.
Looking forward to sharing my journey with everyone!

Hi Barbara. I'm in pretty much the same boat. Before the holidays I had lost 12 pounds and then put most of it right back on. I stopped logging in to MFP thru December and I need help staying motivated. I need to lose 52 pounds.0

Hi, Kdooks! I managed to lose 10 pounds at the beginning of the summer, then put it back on plus at least another 5. Ugh. I have to reduce the trend before I hit the 200 mark, which isn't that far away. I can't stand looking in the mirror because I feel so disgusting in all of my clothes.0
