Crockpot three bean turkey chili

43 g chopped onion
1-2 cloves minced garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
210g ground turkey (extra lean 97% fat free)
246g black beans (canned reduced sodium, drained/rinsed) equiv= 1 can
246g Pinto beans (canned reduced sodium, drained/rinsed) equiv= 1 can
246g Dark red kidney beans (canned reduced sodium, drained/rinsed) equiv= 1 can
420g Diced tomatoes (with juice, whole can)
173g Tomato paste
1 Tablespoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons Hershey's cocoa powder unsweetened
1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional-reduces acidity)
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 cup water
few dashes of tabasco or hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Saute onion in olive oil until softened, add garlic, saute for another minute then transfer to crockpot. Add ground turkey to pan, saute until browned, drain and rinse with hot water then add to crockpot. Add all other ingredients. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.

Delicious with added veggies like bell peppers, celery and carrots.
