New to MFP and loving it. Any advice for experienced exerciser, but new to vegetarian lifestyle?

My advice to you is that it is tempting to use soy meat substitutes, but be careful. It may be ok for the short term, but I would not rely upon it long term. The soy encourages estrogen production, which could make it difficult for you to lose weight and not to scare you but, some men develop breasts from too much soy ingestion.
My experience a couple of years ago was that I eliminated "fake meats" from my diet and did NOTHING else (no exercise, no fat consumption reduction) and I lost 10 pounds. It all came off my belly too, which was kinda odd and great too.
Good luck!0
