Regarding macros...

...is it really bad if my fibre and protein are OVER? ...isn't that kind of good??
My sugar is usually over every day by about 100 grams, which I try my best to keep down; my sodium is ALWAYS over by a couple of hundred (not terribly concerned as there's no history of hypertension in my family and in fact, I have low blood pressure - I also drink upwards of 12 glasses of water a day...)
I just wonder about the fibre and protein...I'm struggling with whether or not being over on those macro's is "bad"??
Would appreciate your opinions - thanks

I consider my protein and fiber to be minimums to strive for. I try to hit my fat as well, carbs are whatever.0

Over protein and fibre definitely wont do any harm. My protein range is from 60 to 74. I aim for 60 and hope to go over it.0

What is your primary goal? Weight loss?0

They are generally regarded as minimums. So long as you don't suffer from gastrointestinal distress from the extra fiber then no problem. You'd be hard pressed to hurt yourself with too much protein absent an existing medical issue.0 -
I appreciate the input. I was also viewing the protein and fibre as a minimum and calories and fat as a maximum...just hate seeing the red numbers!! I guess I'll try and get over it!
My primary goal is to lose weight and provide the necessary macros for exercise (I recently completed the C25K program and run 5K 3x week and weight train 3x week). I started with MFP in mid-July and have lost 21lbs - so I'm doing something right - but it's more than just about losing weight for me now. I want to make sure my body is properly nourished and that it has what it needs for the running and weight training.
Thanks all!0
