Free weights and getting a gym routine!

I just signed up at Anytime Fitness a little over a week ago. I've went every day except 1 and work out for a minimum of 60 minutes. I've just been doing about 30-45 minutes on the elliptical and then the rest of the time on the machines but I've been wanting to start doing some of the free weights cause I heard they can work more muscles and give better results. Where should I start with this? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. Should I keep with the same routine I'm doing with cardio first and then weights? Feel free to add me as well! I need more friends to keep me motivated :)

I second this. This program has you lifting three times a week, and you can do your cardio on off days.

Check out the app called Fitness Buddy. I use android but it should be on iOS as well. You
can use it to create a workout plan for different muscle groups. Also shows you the correct form to do the exercises - pics and short clips. Good luck!
