Shin Splints

I'm a rower and because of that, we do a lot of running. I recently got shin splints, and I want them to heal as fast as possible so I can keep training. This is the first time I've had them before.
Have you had shin splints? What did you do to help them heal? I'm currently doing the tennis ball thing and icing it.

Why do you have to run a lot if you're a rower? There are other ways to increase cardio stamina, if that's the intention.0 -
