It's not really all that crazy, but it was a lot of fun.
It was probably 8 or 9 years ago, I drove up to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a Blue October concert. I was alone, I got checked into my hotel and walked to the venue to buy my ticket.
Soon after I bought my ticket I was walking out the building and I ran into Justin, the lead singer. We chatted for a few minutes, then he asked if I wanted to come check out their tour bus. I did, the whole band was in there...I sat down and they jammed for about an hour.
For that hour, and the 2 hours @ the concert that night, I forgot about every single bad thing in my life, and could smile. It was easily one of the top 5 days of my life.
It was at one of the weirdest times in my life, I had just recently discovered the band, and their music saved my life. \

Okay, I did some welding on U2's Zoo tv sound stage in Philly at the Vet stadium back in the day.
Got to hang out with the roadie's head honcho all day. I welded the foot pegs on the light pole of the ministage and the hydraulic racks for the Trabant cars with lights and cameras in them.
At lunchtime they told me to go get some free sodas and sandwiches on the other side of the stage. Everyone was already over there, or so I thought.
So halfway across the stage, I busted out the air guitar and went to town. Felt pretty awesome to have an entire stadium in front of me all to myself. Thousands of invisible fans fist pumping in unison, and cheering me on.
Then I hear this; Hey check it out, the welder's cool!
I look up and there's like 8 monkeys hanging in rope harnesses right above me.0 -
During college/frat days, some of the other brothers and I would crash very swanky parties in the mansions of Newport RI. Marble House and Breakers mostly. We would put on tuxes, look nice, behave ourselves and quietly eat the fabulous food, have a few drinks without going overboard, and try to pick up beautiful women WAY OUT of our league. Every party has to have a few mystery guests.0
