Extra calories left

I didn't exercise today at all. Had a long car trip and managed to not eat myself to death on snack food the whole way, which is a victory for me. I ate breakfast, some pretzels for a snack in the car, and then dinner. I have 325 calories left in my 1200 calorie day. My question is this: I only had 875 calories today, but I'm not hungry. I'm working on my last two glasses of water now. I've been told that I shouldn't eat if I'm not hungry, but I'm wondering if I should eat more anyway?

for one day should be okay, but I wouldn't make a habit of it :-)0

I agree with angel. You should be fine for just one day. Something else that was suggested to me, if you're really low, drink some tomato/veggie juice. That way you get the calories but don't have to worry about eating if you're not hungry.0

Yep. If this keeps happening, reevaluate what you are eating, see if there are higher calorie foods you can eat when you are actually hungry. Your body DOES need them.
For today, not a trouble Just keep an eye out for a pattern.
I really find it easier for me to eat many small meals to get my calories for the day. At first I just did lunch and late dinner, and was still way under my goal. Now I force myself to eat something.. anything! for breakfast, then I can have my fruits/veggies every couple hours to hold me over til dinner.0 -
Thanks everyone. This is not a normal thing for me. I love to eat. But, I was on the road all day and didn't take anything with me. It was pretzels or a hamburger from Five Guys, so I chose the pretzels and waited until I got home. I appreciate the input!0

One day won't hurt. But, if you're really worried about it, you could always have a tablespoon or two of peanut butter or nutella. It's ridiculous how many calories are in them. >.< It's a sure way to get your intake up without eating much.0

I didn't think about that! I love peanut butter. I might do that, just to say I tried. lol0
