Insomnia

Hey Guys,
Does anyone have any good tricks/tips for dealling with insomnia? I have some nights whe I get only a couple of hours of sleep and I am pretty sure it is screwing up my metabolism. I have gone to my Dr. and we have tried lots of different sleeping pills, but nothing that has worked well for me. I figured I would turn to you guys to see if anyone has anything that works well for them.

  • set an alarm for your preferred bedtime every night. I battled insomnia for years. Do a yoga tape to calming music about an hour before bed. take a lukewarm shower ( hot showers can raise your blood pressure which might wake you up more. Get into pajamas and lie down in bed. Use your bed only for sleeping and sex. Not for watching Tv, not for reading. Try not to think about tomorrow and just try to lay your problems down so you can rest. If you are religious some people believe that praying helps them. The most important thing though is to go to bed the Exact same time every night.

    Usually I have a glass of wine, helps me sleep.
