Bushkill Falls PA Info?

Hubby and I are heading to Bushkill Falls in a few weeks. Was wondering if anyone has been there recently. Is it "true" hiking or more of a woodsy trail? Are hiking boots needed or just sneaker hikers? Also, all our activities planned are outdoors. Anyone have any indoor ideas in the area in case of rain? We are staying in lake Ariel.
