Since my Fitbit syncs with MFP do I still track activity calories separately?

No. You will end up double-upping your exercise calories. Just go with what fitbit tells you to do.0

Bummer. Theres times that my Fitbit will show 3,000 steps after an hour of boxing plus that mostly uses arms. The active minutes will be in accurate showing 4 or 5 minutes active when I was working out tough for 45-60 minutes. Its frustrating. Theres no way I took that many steps in an hour! lol...0

Try using Fitbit when you are not already doing another exercise. eg when I run i just use my HRM to track calories burnt. then i wear my Fitbit to work etc outside of work out sessions.
when you log in exercise on MFP it should ask when you started the exercise you're logging and of course you will enter how long you did it for; thus shouldn't record same thing twice.0
