I started MFP mid April and have since lost almost 10 pounds but have been maintaining the same weight for about 3 weeks. I've tried to stay within the 1200 calories a day, exercising and also eating those calories that I earn from exercise. So how come the weight has stopped coming off? Would it help to not eat the extra calories earned or maybe try to earn more and only eat half of those? HELP!!!

Hmm, well it could be anything really. One thing is to make sure the calories you are thinking you are burning are actually being burned. Machines can give us wrong information as far as that goes. Also, you have such little weight to lose (based on your profile page), that it just might take awhile. Maybe try to not eat all the exercise calories? I don't know. It seems like you are doing everything right. How much do you work out and what to you usually burn?0 -
I agree with Tam, maybe your gaining muscle or youre retaining water or you just hit a plateu. There is a great post on here from Banks I just have to look it up I guess

I run 3 miles 3 times a week and then will usually do the elliptical for about 20 minutes a couple times a week. I started jump roping also but OUCH, my knees couldn't really take it!! I tried to do the interval thing on the treadmill because I was told that would boost my metabolism but I just started doing that this week so maybe it hasn't been long enough yet but. It seems I'm doing a good job of maintaining but I still have some more to lose before I can do that, ya know? That's what I was thinking too, about only eating half of my exercise calories. I might try that. Thanks a bunch!!0

I hit a stall after about a a month and a half. I bought a HRM to see how many calroies I was really burning during exercise and turns out I was burning less than MFP estimated. So I was eating a too many calories each day. Now that I'm using the HRM and I have an accurate idea of how many calories I'm burning I've started losing again.0
