Hello-

I am a busy mom, full-time professional with a recipe blog AND additction to food.

I pig out at the buffet, I hide in the pantry and eat chocolate chips when times get stressful, and eat 2 slices of pie when I watch biggest Loser. Ironically, I also hate processed and refined food, love every vegeatable I have ever eaten, and strive and fight to feed my family as healthy as possible.

My resolution this year is not the lose the 30+ pounds needed to bring me to a healthy weight, but rather to remember to take care of myself so I am in a better position to take care of my family.

Please check my blog out at http://www.momvsfood.blogspot.com. Believe it or not when I AM being healthy, I can kick butt at it and have a collection of recipes, many very good for your either because they are lo-cal/low-fat OR because they incorporate healthy ingredients to support good nutrition.

Good luck to everyone else starting a journey in 2011... and here goes nothing!

We sound very similar. I know how to cook good, healthy foods for my family, and I even spend much of the year as a locavore (I'm not hard-core enough to do it during the winter months). Once I got onto MFP, I realized my entire problem was portion size and snacking. Once I adjusted those and added in exercise, the weight has come off fairly easily. I got down to my pre-kids weight, and now I'm chipping away at the extra 15 or so pounds I've held onto since college. Feel free to friend me if you'd like some additional support!
  • Just so happens that I am addicted to food too. AND blogs. So I'll check yours out for sure.
