    See link - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/135792-support-for-binge-eating-disorder.

I find it helpful. It helps just knowing you are not alone. It is also important to be patient with yourself because it is hard to manage binge eating.

For me I can excel at many things in life but managing my weight, binge eating is overwhelming at times and can be discourging also. MFP has helped me to not give up even when discouraged or wanting to just throw in the towel. One day at time, one meal at a time.

I found myself eating when I was sitting around at home and bored. Now I ask myself why am I eating? If the answer is not because I am hungry then I DO NOt eat. Or if I am hungry I grab a low cal snack or something healthy. Eat til you are full, which I know is waaay harder to actually do, but the more you practice, the easier it is. Then it becomes normal for you!

I am so sorry you are suffering :(

The book Women Food and God by Geneen Roth is a great read if you suffer from food addiction and binges. I read it in January 2010 and have binged ONCE since. The book was life changing for me.

    Here's an excerpt from Oprah.com:

    YOU CAN OVERCOME THIS ADDICTION!!!

I just read the excerpt and enjoyed it. I was afraid it was going to be all about God and it wasn't. I've read a ton of books about binge eating, addiction, etc and I'll definitely have to add this one to my list. Thanks for the recommendation.
