Discrepancy between HRM cal burned and bodymedia

I just got a body media link 6 days ago so bear with me if I'm slow on the uptake
. I wear it daily, averaged 2300 cal burn out of my 2500 goal. Eat around 800-1000 calorie deficit. I usually walk fast for an hour daily. It's florida and still hot! My polar hrm I wear when walking puts me at 482 calories burned for 62 min of walking. My body media link puts me at 340. Normally I wouldn't worry about that but for since my calorie burn goal is 400 or 500 a day (depending on the day and how my week went) a difference of 142 calories is a lot! Which do I go by? How do I adjust on my stats? Would a bodega supported hrm be the better way to go?
Thanks!!

Thanks!!

Go with the body media.

Sorry I meant to add that the body media calorie burn rate is when I actually put on the workout mode button. Not just wearing it normally and comparing to the hrm after I walk. Does that make sense?0
