C25k advice

I have been doing this along the beach. I walk the beach anyway, so figure I would just do it there. I completed week 1 today but now am wondering if I'll get the results of being able to run a 5k by doing it along the coast? The first 30 minutes is c25k then I continue my beach walk. Usually I do close to 5 miles.
Do you think it woul be better to not do c25k at the beach or is it ok?

It's fine. Although the program aims to get you to 5K (3.1 miles) it actually just gets you running for 30 mins (which may or may not be 5K - the best I can do 5K in at the moment is about 37 mins).
Some people run it on roads, some on the beach & some indoors on a treadmill.
As long as the sand is not too soft, it'll be good on your feet & give you some cushioning.0 -
I finished my first week 8 run (full 30 mins) yesterday. Made the mistake of going when the tide was in though and had to run in the soft sand. Such hard work! Anyway, I've been doing the programme with at least one run a week along the beach and normally when the tide is in I'll run somewhere else.0
