Head Games

I have been doing ok with both diet and exercise for 112 days now. Up until about 2 weeks ago I had been doing REALLY well with it. I was doing so well I confidently went for a new job at work (and got it). While I love my new job it is SO much busier than my old one. My company was being kind of stupid and there was definitely learning curve and it threw me out of my routine. In addition there were a couple of other things that threw me for a loop too.
Anyway about this time I decided to lower my calories (just a bit) and stop using the MFP's data base for counting my workout calories. I would just enter one or two calories so that I would stop eating them back. Here is where the head games come in. Every since then my exercise has fallen off and I cannot seem to stay under my calorie goal. I tried raising my goal back up a bit and still eating more than ever, struggling more than ever and exercising less! What the freak? I realized today that it is just a head game I am playing with myself. Since my dashboard looks like I am failing I feel like I am failing. Everything is falling apart. I am going to go back to how I was doing things and try and get my mojo back.
What kind of head games have you found that you play with yourself? Just wondering. I guess head games could be a positive and a negative. What do about you?
