My Fitness Pal has given me 1500 calories. I want it down to 1200 calories. How do I correct this??

If you have 190lbs to lose, 1200 calories is excessively low.0

My question would be -- why?
MFP uses an algorithm based on your current stats and what you want to lose, and generates the calories you NEED to get you there. I don't know what your end goal is, but you want to make it there in a way that's healthful and DOABLE, and not something based on a caloric intake that probably isn't right for you.
If you're insisting, then you can go to your Goals, click Change Goals, then Custom to select.
Good luck with whatever you decide...0 -
1200 calories is probably too low for you.
MFP calculates the calories based on the goals you define but, if you set dangerous goals it won't let you go there. When you fill out your goals you tell it how active you are, how many times a week and for how long you plan to exercise, and how much you'd like to lose per week. MFP uses that info to determine how many calories you can eat and still accomplish your goals (assuming they're reasonable).0
