New to myfitnesspal

I am new to myfitnesspal and would like to meet people who are also on their weight loss journey. I had lost about 19 pounds at the beginning of 2010 but ended up gaining what I lost plus some due to the gym we were going to getting flooded & I just lost my motivation. My husband was working out & eating healthy with me at the time which was very encouraging but now he is not as interested since he is working a different job & getting a workout doing that. My husband and I would also like to pregnant in the next year or 2 and I would love to be at a healthy weight before I get pregnant and stay healthy during and after. My goal is to be at my ideal weight before I turn 30 which gives me 16 months to lose the weight and get healthy.

welcome to MFP. friend me if you would like. i too wanted to be at a healthy weight before i got pregnant. did not make it to healthy weight before, but during pregnancy my dr lectured me and made me keep a food journal as i was not gaining weight. the whole thing was, i was eating much much more healthier so i was actually losing fat while still giving the baby and my body everything it needed. unfortunately he was born with a cleft palette..only a small hole, it was repaired and he has no complications.. but i chose to pump breast milk to feed him. between that and the extra care it took to feed him, i did not have time to keep up with exercise, plus i was having marriage issues. wound up gaining all kinds of weight and being slightly depressed, although never took it out on my little guy. My children are the greatest joy i have!!!!0
