Starting C25K and weight training

I've started (and stopped) this program about 10 times now. At one point I almost made it to a full 5K. However, I'm going to be starting this again tonight.

I'm going to supplement this program with weightlifting. I'm familiar enough with the ins and outs of weight training, but I'm wondering if I should be focusing on a specific amount of sets/reps if I'm running as well. I've always liked doing about 3 sets, and gradually increasing weight with sets but decreasing reps.

I'm open to ideas.
