Calories burned during high intensity interval workout?

Does anyone have an idea on how many calories are burned while doing a high intensity interval workout?

    Depends on how long you do it for and what your understanding of "high intensity" is.

    Invest in a Heart rate monitor to keep track of calories burned. H.I.I.T. has an advantage of keeping the calories burning even after your workout. So the calories burned on your HRM will be low but the calories after you are done will continue to increase. H.I.I.T. is only recommended 3 times per week the other days I will continue cardio by doing L.I.S.S. cardio to keep the body fat percentage if you are looking to lean out. Depending on your goals and how far you want to take your physique.

    Heart rate monitors are only accurate for steady cardio.

    Thanks for the responses, they are good to know. HIIT stands for high intensity interval training. I have a video with 10 minute sections where you do 20 seconds on and a 10 second rest.

    Calorie burns depend upon height, weight, age, gender, exertion level, and more. Anything is going to be an estimate for you. Look for an on-line calculator that allows you to plug in lots of factors.
