4'10 goal weight??

I'm sure I'm the only one here that's 4'10, but I thought I'd check!
I'm 22, i weight about 92 now (haven't checked in awhile)
I've started a little exercising and eating somewhat better! (cooking at home instead of fast food)
At the most stressed out time in my life (about a year ago) I weighed about 81.
I went about it the wrong way, ate like a bird. Food was not my priority. Sad but true.
Anyway, I was thin but I feel like I looked good! Anyway. I need help! Tips, anything!
I am so lazy! And hate working out and eating healthy. Buutt I'm trying! It's worth it I know.

92 at 4'10 is actually slightly under weight. The healthy range is about 95-105. i'm currently aiming for 115 (i'm also 4'10) and i'll re-evaluate when i get there. i'd say if you're unhappy with the way your body looks, try lifting weights!
edit- i found another chart that shows the healthy range between 91 and 115. either way, you're on the low end of it0 -

Actually, it isn't. 4'10 and 92 lbs gives a BMI of 19.2. BMI has to be below 18.5 to be considered underweight.
However, 92 seems a pretty good weight for your height, OP. Why do you want to lose weight? Maybe try weight-lifting if you feel like you're kind of 'flabby'.0 -

The reason there is a range.....frame size & lean muscle to fat ratio.
Women with a good % of lean muscle can weigh more....but look like they weigh less. Muscle is taut & firm.....fat is flabby and shapeless.
Lifting weight as mentioned above is a way to "shape" your body.
The number on the scale is just one unit of measurement....and sometimes it's not even the best one.0 -

Honestly, 107 is just fine so I'm not working extra hard to get much lower.
This is definitely my ideal weight for me as I know when I was closer to 100 lbs in my 20's, I was too small. I had to shop in the kids section to find clothes that fit me.
If you feel good at the weight you're at, I'd suggest you just eat enough calories to maintain and exercise for the fitness benefits. I like doing strength exercises and lifting light weights to keep my muscles in shape. I'd like to get into heavier lifting, but haven't completely found the motivation for it yet.0 -

Another thing, any lower than 105 or so and I bet I'll have a decrease in bra size, and that will disappoint my husband. :blushing:
Though, I wouldn't mind very much going down to a nice "C" cup. :laugh:0 -

Lol my bmi is 30% right now but I am trying for 129# will take me years if I do 1200 calories doc said 640 calories to lose weight I will try my bmr is 1364 with sedentary life style. I would have to eat less than 864 to lose 1 # a week. MFP doesn't like me being under the 1200 but I wont lose weight any other way. I also have a bad thyroid so it is really hard to lose any weight. I can only keep trying. No other choice.0

At 22 years old your BMR is much higher than a senior citizen. Your BMR is 1,084. That's what your body would use if you slept all day. Sedentary people get more, people who exercise get more still.
With 12 pounds to go you SHOULD be looking for a 1/2 pound a week goal. Unless you want fat+muscle loss. Fat+muscle loss is a squishy look. Look up skinny-fat....not pretty.
Honestly, setting your goal to zero loss and working on "toning" ...(yes, I know it's not really a thing). But working on tightening up what you have is more beneficial than lower your goal time and again when it's not the "look" you want.0 -
Soooo. I'm going to continue what I'm doing! Not lessening what I eat. Try exercise more! I don't have any weights and I'm too poor for a gym, so body weight exercises will have to do for now. Cardio. I suucckk at cardio! But I suppose that's just because I don't do it right? Haha0

I'm 4'9 and my current weight is 122. I naturally have a very muscular build, so going lower than 105 would look sick on me. Officially my goal weight is 110, but I'm really more focused on how I look in the mirror instead of the numbers on the scale.0

I'm 4'10" also and my goal weigh is 100-99. I'm at 113 now which is high for me but I took up drinking. I used to be 93-98 and never got above 100 before alcohol.
You don't have much to go! Drinking is such a drag! You can kick it! I know how you feel. You're in my prayers. You got this!! And thank you for the input0 -
4 10 and people like to 'freak' when they hear 'under 100'.
I totally agree to adding weight based movements. I've always been 'squishy' as you said.
Even with no money you can get one set of bands, or do plenty with body weight. Push ups are only the beginning. Check out DVD's at the library. There should be plenty of choices there.
I still need to add more muscle... sounds like you're in a similar boat. It will help squishy go away0 -

In regards to your goal weight that's really something you have to figure out. There's no one universal answer for everyone.
Even though you are the same exact height as me, your ideal weight may differ depending on your frame.

I'm 4'10.25" (I was 4'9" and still am on my medical charts but I stand taller now due to improving my posture and strengthening mu core as well as physical therapy exercises that have decompressed aim areas of my spine and straightened others). My healthy weight is 93-105 however my ideal body weight is 104-110. I've set my first goal at 115 (I am five give or take a few ounces away right now) and will see how I feel when I get there. I am 4'11" and currently weigh 120. My goal is too lose 10 pounds, at one point I was down to 104 and everyone thought I was sick. So ideally I would like to be 105-107 but aiming for 110 and will evaluate again at that point. I am quite active but still very squishy.0

Ok, Im 4'2 and when I did my calorie intake I should be eating around 880 and I need to lose close to 100lbs.
Yes, a "child" at this height would probably be about 75lbs but the difference being is that Im older than a child and I have a chest (thanks to genes)!
Wow, to be told to eat less than my 880 (even though MFP has me at the lowest of 1200) and youre taller than me

I've been looking into posture! That's crazy that you can get an inch and a half. So i'm getting from everyone that i just need to get my lazy butt up and work out! Haha. Thanks everyone for inputs! We're all around the same height but beautiful and unique in our own way! Good luck getting/staying healthy everyone!!

I'm 4'11 and 99lbs. I weightlift and have no intention of losing any weight. OP you can put some weight on and still look good if you weightlift0

I'm 4'10. i stopped growing around 7th 8th grade. In 8th grade I was 15 years old. weighed 80.4 lbs. that weight continued until i was a senior in high school. i had a health issue that caused me to go from 80.4 to 72 lbs in two days. since then ive mostly been back up to 76 lbs. i weighed 84 at one time and it was so uncomfortable. i felt too full and didnt have an appetite to be able to eat for 3 days. it was just miserable feeling. im now 40 years old. still 76 lbs. ive spent my whole adult life being mistaken for a 12 year old. still wearing kids size 12 clothes. just like i did in 8th grade. i grt told i look so young when people find out how old i really am. doctors have always had an issue with my size. thryve tested my thyroid twice and everything comes out fine. it was concluded i have high energy levels that burns everything i eat off before it has time to impact me. i was put on special diets to help me gain but i cant afford it. a doctor once said eat one pint of ice cream a week and you'll gain 5 pounds from it. any time id gain a pound if be the happiest person for the whole day. knowing i wouldn't be able to keep it though. ive been told eat more protein and all kinds of stuff. id be happy just to get back to 80 pounds and keep it. i can melt poinds like butter melting but my issue is being able to keep weight. on here it says i should weigh 88.5 pounds and just the thought reminds me of the 84 pound miserable moment i had years ago. does anyone out there have advice that might help?0

This will be a bit personal... but... do you have any digestive issues (diarrhea, cramping, etc.?). For me, I ended up having celiac disease. I quite literally had gotten so bad my body couldn't adequately digest food. At 5 ft and 80 pounds, my doctor was ready to forcibly hospitalize me and put me on tube feedings if Iost any more weight until we eventually figured it out. That being said, if you're basically healthy, the best idea I can give is focus on calorie dense foods like nut butters, cheese, anything high fat.1
