    you are in the right place! But seeing progress is the best motivation! You will find it from people too but you will self motivate it if you follow some very simple rules.

    Count your calories, don't eat more calories than you should and try to stay away from junk food. ...period.

    As a former body builder and a fitness expert (I have to be for my military job) I have only seen only seen ONE thing work permantly or over long periods for HEALTHY weight loss...eat less than you burn.

    The tools here are not always accurate for calculating your BMR so you may have to tweak it. 1 to 3 pounds a week weight loss is healthy and if you are maintaining it is either because you are eating too little, or too much. You should not starve yourself, you need to eat throughout the day to keep the furnace burning.
