Losing weight with a broken ankle?

Hello!
This is my very first post on MFP!
As of right now, I have lost about 33 lbs and I'm still on my journey to lose another 20. Almost 5 weeks ago I broke my ankle while on my daily walk (I'm prone to injury apparently....) But even with a broken ankle I have managed to lose 7 pounds. I did this by basically lowing my calorie intake (even more) and continuing to do as many exercises as I can that don't involve my ankle (core, arms, back, glutes, etc.)
Before I broke my ankle, I was very active in walking and cardio. I love cardio. Seriously. So when I broke my ankle, I was super bummed to say the least.
Anyway, I have hit a dreaded plateau! Usually I would push harder in my workouts and eat super clean to get through it, but with a broken ankle I am missing the high intensity workouts I used to do! I'm going to go crazy!
Any suggestions or advice on what I can do to get past this plateau with my injury?
Thanks in advance!

If you're not using a food scale to weigh all non-freely pouring liquids, you should. It could be an easy way to find a couple "ZOMG! I didn't realize that was 200 calories!!" Items that you have no problem ditching and make losing weight slightly easier for you

When I sprained my ankle I actually tried BodyPump / ripped for the first time. Not in the first couple days or anything, just towards the end when I was starting to feel kind of okay but couldn't really prance around in a cardio class. Heavy squats and deads will still put a lot of pressure on your feet as far as I know so that's something to watch out for. Basically if you have a gym membership you could try any class your doctor agrees with and just not do the leg stuff. I went to a class once where a girl in a wheel chair did BodyAttack0 -
Well weight loss is all about calories, but if you want to burn some calories, start weight lifting. There are plenty of things you can do sitting.0

I had ankle surgery in July and had to be strictly non weight bearing for 4 weeks. I was allowed to use crutches or hop behind a walking frame. Hopping around with crutches is very strenuous. According to my HRM, I burned around 250 kcal every 30 minutes, which is as much as my regular workout on the elliptical. My heart rate would be at 140 after about 15 minutes.0
