Jillian Michaels workouts --> Flu or cold

Hi there,
First, thank you for reading
This summer I worked my way though the 30d shred program and now do the longer format videos "No more trouble zones" and "Banish fat, boost metabolism" probably about 3 times per week. However, I find that after two weeks or so of doing especially the longer videos, I invariably get a cold or the flu.
I am wondering, has anyone else has encountered this problem? I also wonder if perhaps there's some sort of nutrient I'm not getting. I eat what I would consider healthy at least 5 days per week, lots of veggies, fruit, and lean protein (on the weekend I am not as good). My calorie goal is about 1500/day. I do not take vitamins regularly but am thinking about trying that now, probably a daily emergenC.
Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated! And please let me know if any other information would help.

Sounds like a fluke to me. I doubt the two are related.0

I can't imagine they're related. I am a big Jillian Michaels fan and don't get sick because of it. You might just be getting run down. I'd make sure you're getting enough sleep and drinking lots of fluids. Maybe when you're adding in more regular exercise your sleep suffers -meaning you get up early to work out and lose sleep?
I'd just wash the heck out of your hands and keep working out. I have two kids in elementary school so getting sick for me is just part of life unfortunately. We just try to be hand washing maniacs.0 -
I doubt they're related. It's just that time of year. get plenty of rest, water, and wash your hands!0
