I would like to start doing some active weights at home.
My BF does have a weight bench which I could use and I have a couple free hand weights (used when I was doing the 30DS).
I was just wondering if there was a site with weight workouts I could follow? Keep in mind, I don't have crazy heavy weights!! and I am NOT joining a gym... I just want to try to tone, and maintain the muscle I have while I am loosing weight...

Hey, maybe just google light weight training from home, or lifting weights to tone....you will get a lot of different links.
Hope this helps a bit. I lift 7-10 lbs weights and thats good enough for me!
    Good luck:)
  • I do all my exercise at home - not necessarily that I'm opposed to a gym, I'm just a single mom to 2 kids, and I don't want to leave them alone at 5am while they're sleeping :)

I have a treadmill for my run days...for my strength training, I have an exercise ball, 2 x 3lb weights, 2 x 5lb, 2 x8lb and 2x10lb. I googled and youtubed a bunch of exercises focusing on each of the following: legs (quads, calfs & hamstrings), back, abs, chest, shoulders, biceps and triceps. Then, with a variety of exercises, I created 3 "routines" that go: 5 minutes cardio, legs, back abs, 5 minutes cardio, chest, shoulders, biceps, triceps, 5 minute cardio. I do each routine for one week (Mon, Wed., Fri.) then go on to the next one and so on. I'm certainly NO expert by any means, but I have managed to lose 25lbs (yes, I understand that's mostly diet), and also a bunch of inches.

All I'm sayin' is that if I can do it - anyone can! Totally doable! Good luck!
