I am new to posting my progress publicly. I started using MFP at the end of October 2010 and have found it to be very useful. I have a 100lb goal, that when achieved will return me to close to my weight during my former Army days. Why now? I have wasted away my knees and I have developed Type 2 diabetes. It was time for a change! I look forward to loosing weight with the rest of you, and for anyone needing encouragement to continue, don't get like me. I am in constant pain and will need knee surgery to correct that problem.

Best of luck to you, just keep your eye on the prize! I am new to this site as of yesterday and part of my motivation is to be help my back pain. I have herniated discs in my low back, a pinched nerve and degeneration in my discs beyond what I should have at my age. The doctors say that losing weight and making my stomach muscles stronger will help my back. So, that is just one of many reasons I have for trying to lose the weight. Hang in there, you can do it!!0
