what does the word "bump" mean in a post?

It means that someone wants to "bump" it back to the top of the board or "bump" it into their topics so they can find it easily later.0

'Bump' is used to bring a particular thread back to the top of the list of threads. I have seen a lot of people here use it to 'save' the thread for themselves, which is annoying.0
