What counts as exercise? How do I track it?

I find when I enter in my exercise for the day that I'm cutting myself short! I work in a doctor's office and am constantly up and down, lifting heavy files, bending, etc. At home I have a 5 month old who is 15lbs and I pretty much hold him from the moment I get home until he falls asleep, as well as doing the daily chores. I feel like that should count for something? How do I mark this down in my exercise for the day? This might be a really stupid question but I honestly don't know! I've been putting down 2 hours of walking moderate pace cause I figure by the time I add up all the times I've walked around it's gotta be close to two hours.

Sorry, I don't have the answer either. I've used my iPhone 5S to keep track of my daily walking ( I do a lot as a teacher), but recently have not had any luck keeping track. The phone is set to record motion, but it's not winding up in my diary. Good luck in your search for the answer. I'll keep an eye open for replies!0

Why log it? That's your life now. It's nothing out of the ordinary. I literally jump, dance, and lift children all day for my job. If I had logged that and eaten the calories back, I wouldn't have lost any weight.0
