Braums!!!!!!! Please help :)

I am in love with Braum's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream!!!! Best ice cream in the world to me :) I go there a few times a month with my daughter for a cone and I don't know for sure how to log it. I have found the nutrition information for it with no problem. My problem is that all the information I find if per half cup. I know their dips are more than a half cup for sure. Does anyone know how much ice cream is in a single dip there? I know it can very greatly based on who is scooping but just an average. Thanks in advance.

Since it's done by hand, I would think it would vary. Put a scale in your purse next time? :)

    I would guess 1.5 cups.

But you can always scoop some ice cream at home to have a visual reference. "size of a coffee mug" "size of a tennis ball" etc.

0.75 cup is how I log it when I get a single scoop at Braum's. I know it's more than 1/2 cup but well under a cup.

At Braum's they seem to keep it pretty much in the cup or just slightly above. I usually do not get a cone there, but when I do (sugar or cake cones, not waffle) it does seem to be the same amount of ice cream as I get in the cup.

Obviously not 100% accurate but I think for Braum's you should be safe with 0.75 cup unless you notice it's a skimpy or extra large helping then maybe 0.67 or 1 cup? HTH!

Baskin Robbins on the other hand...I log a single scoop as 1 cup or MORE, since their scoops are huge.

Best to err on the side of caution, too... Just estimate how much you think it is, then add an 1/8th of a cup just to be on the safe side. BUT, the scale in the purse idea is a good one too.

Thanks all :) Lucky for me I have a pretty large purse so I think I shall go with carrying my scale (and probably a measuring cup also) in there next time. I wanted to save myself the awkward looks but I guess it is just once lol.
