I am 20 and trying to lose 130lbs eventually. I am trying to eat things good for my body but theres so many things i cannot eat due to my severe trouble swallowing, the list includes:pretty much all meats, fresh spinach and cabbage, fresh carrots, bread, mashed potatoes (or any kind of potatoes for that matter),thick cut and/or mushy french fries (they have to be thin and crispy),i also have texture issues where some textures activate my gag reflex. This includes: raw and cooked sweet peppers, poblano peppers, some types of lunch meats, some types of sausage. Luckily i have no problems with liquids at all. Can anyone give me some ideas to eat healthier despite all the things i cant eat please?

Smoothies are a good option. Do you have a Magic Bullet, or could you get one? They don't cost much and are great for smoothies. You could add in some of the healthy things you can't swallow such as spinach and kale and once they're pulverized into a smoothie you won't even know it's in there. You could get your protein by adding peanut butter or protein powder.0

I agree with this 100%. Also, you might want to look into a liquid vitamin supplement if you're not able to get all the nutrients through food. But, if you make smoothies of a lot of things you might be surprised how much nutrition you can pack into one glass. You can also add Greek yogurt to the smoothies for added protein.
Another option might be like those Ensure or Boost drinks (meal replacement drinks). Just check the labels (I don't know if they have added sugars).0 -
Veggie soups blended in a blender work?
I have a pannini grill, it's like a George Forman grill I think. I grill up with a tiny touch of pam on the grill, zuchinni and eggplant. They are fry like in texture. For the eggplant I put a bit of salt on each side and place it on paper towels to get liquid off and slice about a half inch think. If too think it's not as crisp.
Today I ate two pounds of zuchinni with a half cup of fat free hummus dabbed on top of each one. That equaled 297 calories. VERY filling. I think one could do this with a nonstick pan on the stove top also. Wouldn't go as fast, but, hay...what ever works.0 -

Soups and smoothies. You can make a chunky soup and blend it, therefore not having to worry about texture. Good luck.0
