Help! I ate too much salt!

I thought I was doing a good thing by buying Edamame beans (in the pods)- a great source of protein. A friend told me to steam them and pour some salt on them then bite out the beans from the pod. They were great but I didn't realize how much salt I put on them... and now I have had a litre of water to help with my thirst, had a banana hoping that would sop up the salt. Drinking tea as I write this. I can't believe how uncomfortable this is.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I rarely cook with salt, or put it on my food.
Thank you!

Oh I know you're uncomfortable! maybe drink a glass of OJ, that and the banana you had should help, also you might want to try Morton lite salt next time, It tastes the same as regular salt with less sodium.0

It's a little bit of salt it won't kill you. A banana was a good idea for the potassium and just be sure to drink plenty of water. It's not going to kill you it will just cause you to bloat a little maybe and retain water.0
